
Dr. Neal S. Chawla is a Southern California native whose career combines medical training, research, and clinical care in oncology. With advanced fellowship training at leading U.S. institutions and international medical experience, Dr. Chawla brings a global perspective to designing and implementing studies that push the boundaries of cancer care.
As Associate Director of Clinical Research at the Cancer Center of Southern California, Dr. Chawla oversees the center’s portfolio of cutting-edge clinical trials, guiding the development and execution of studies that drive progress in cancer therapy. He plays a central role in advancing research on rare cancers such as chondrosarcoma, as well as genitourinary malignancies, with work that has been published in leading journals and presented at national conferences.

In addition, his research spans genitourinary malignancies, including renal cell carcinoma, urothelial carcinoma, and prostate cancer. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences, contributing to the advancement of treatment standards and expanding clinical knowledge.
